A little about the The Callaway Collection and the why behind our pieces
Every piece of jewelry I create tells part of the story of the person who is wearing it. The story could extend beyond the person’s fashion or lifestyle choices. It can become part of them.
Let’s face it, we all love stories, and we are writing our own in the way we live each day. We become absorbed by stories we read, hear, or watch. We cling to the stories we hear when we are gathered with family and friends because they are about people we love and enjoy spending time around. Stories are how we make sense of our own lives. And at the end of the day, we hold onto the essential aspects, filter out the unimportant details, and try to make sense of it all.
Your actions in what you do, what you wear, and how you look tell a story too. You take time out of your busy day to sit and listen to a friend going through something. Your closet is full of clothing and accessories that reflect your personality and personal style.
It’s the same with jewelry. Jewelry helps define who we are, how we view ourselves, what is important to us, and where we are in life. Most people wear jewelry that commemorates special moments in their lives, such as weddings and engagement rings. Some people wear jewelry because of their religious background and what they believe. Some people wear it to show status or where they are in life, like wearing a well-known designer watch or jewelry. And some people wear jewelry because it reflects their taste, style, and what they love, like wearing a piece of art jewelry that makes you feel pretty and stand out a bit from the crowd.
When I create the pieces in The Callaway Collection, each design has its unique story; each element you see is like artwork— each detail knot down to the very end. I hope it resonates with you or someone who loves the story and the work so much that they want to make it part of their own life story.
Jewelry should be something you want to wear, not have to wear. It should be something that makes you feel beautiful, confident, and maybe even sentimental. It should be inspired by the things you love, cherish, and your wildest dreams. It should help tell your story because your story is beautiful.
Whats your story? Let’s create some pieces with the most memorable parts!
WHAT IS THE MEANING BEHIND THE DOVE AND THE BLACK AND WHITE STRIPED BEAD?
Each handmade, custom piece has a signature dove charm and a black and white striped bead. The dove symbolizes peace throughout the world and is a reminder to spread our wings and be open to new adventures, to enjoy the journey and to always embrace our own unique style!
The striped bead is a reminder of the things that are most important to you. For me, the striped bead symbolizes Faith-Family-Hope-Kindness. What will the bead symbolize for you?
Meet the Doves
The doves you will meet below are all incredibly, amazing people who have flown into my life and shaped me into the woman I am today. Each of them have been super supportive in my passion and vision of The Callaway Collection and their support means more to me than they know.
I asked each one, if they could leave me with a quote or some wise words to always remember, what would they tell me?
And now, I’m passing their words on to you.
